The MGBase Registry, launched in Australia in 2021, is the first global observational registry dedicated to patients diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis (MG). Since its inception, the registry has grown exponentially with expanding global reach.

MGBase has provided an efficient electronic database of capturing ur clinical observations and treatment responses in the MG clinic. It has the potential of allowing 'real world' global comparisons in treatment approaches, and providing exposure to Pharma of previously neglected research-oriented clinics with diverse patient populations.

It has been exciting to watch patient enrollments grow exponentially from around the world since MGBase was launched in October 2021. We can now start to conduct research using the data from MGBase to get a better understanding of MG and its treatments with the ultimate aim of improving outcomes for people with MG.

What would surprise many users once they start using MDS in clinic is how effective the graphical outline of the patient’s course is. I was showing a patient her clinical course which was bad initially but is now in remission and also off steroids, with the patient overview graph displaying both the clinical course and the steroid dose. She was not only amazed to see her two year course as a graphical representation, but delighted to receive a screen shot copy that she could keep and show her family and friends.
